Over the past few decades, streetwear has turned into a burgeoning aesthetic, estimated to be a $185 billion dollar market this year. But, what exactly is streetwear and where did it come from? Despite its recent fame, streetwear’s origins can be found in more humble roots. Irisa Kuhnen will be speaking on the origins and history of streetwear, its entrance into the luxury fashion world, and its impact on culture today.

Irisa Ona Kuhnen is a New York-based visual designer crafting brands, products, spaces, and experiences. She has worked with a variety of clients ranging from finance and tech to culture and fashion. She is currently working at Huge Inc, a design agency based in Brooklyn.
