In Dialogue With... Fashion | Streetwear Origins & Impact
About the Lecture
From sneakers to hoodies entering the runways of Louis Vuitton and Gucci, streetwear has become a part of the luxury fashion lexicon. Over the past few decades, streetwear has turned into a burgeoning aesthetic, estimated to be a $185 billion dollar market this year. But, what exactly is streetwear and where did it come from? Despite its recent fame, streetwear’s origins can be found in more humble roots. Irisa Kuhnen will be speaking on the origins and history of streetwear, its entrance into the luxury fashion world, and its impact on culture today.
This event is especially for young professional women.

Among the 200 extraordinary transformations, talents including Willo Perron, Francesca Sorrenti, Refik Anadol, and Francky Zapata were exclusively showcased in NY.
